Greenish or Metallic Colored Teeth
Teeth stained green, bluish green, or brown can be a sign that you have been overexposed to some metals. This may have happened at work or during a dental procedure. The hue depends on the metal or the chemical reaction it has with the germs in your mouth. Exposure to iron, manganese, and silver may stain the teeth black, for example. Mercury and lead dust can leave a blue-green stain, while copper and nickel can turn teeth green to blue green. Inhaling certain fumes, such as chromic acid, will stain teeth a deep orange. And overexposure to iodine solution and spending a lot of time in chlorinated pools can stain teeth brown.
