Eye Color Changes

Just as our genes program the color of our eyes, they appear to play a role in age-realted eye-color changes. About 10 to 15% of Caucasians experience eye color changes during adolescence or adulthood. The eyes of hazel or brown eyed children may become lighter, while those of gray or green eyed children tend to darken. And many blue-eyed people notice that their eyes become brighter blue as they get older, giving them a china-doll-like appearance.
