If you start hearing things such as songs that are not playing, it can pretty scary. Certainly, we have all heard how schizophrenic often hear voices, called AUDITORY HALLUCINATIONS. But hearing sounds that others do not can also be a sign of some other serious disorders, such as Lewy Body Dementia (LBD) or Parkinson's Disease Dementia. It is unclear whether these neurodegenerative disorders or another neurological problem is responsible for the auditory hallucinations or whether it is the drugs used to treat them.
